As the human body’s most sizable organ, skin is not only a channel between the inside and outside of the human body, but also a new “demon mirror” for a host of different diseases. Often, when the body is out of order, these issues will be demonstrated through the skin. The skin may have changes in color, abnormal spots and even it may change in the composition. In these abnormal symptoms, cancer may also be indicated. When the skin has these five symptoms, it may be cancer that has already found the ways out. Cancer is treacherous if it attacks silently; therefore, you have to be more careful.
1. Itching of the skin
Itching of the skin is a very frequent ailment. Usually, the symptoms can be alleviated by scratching the itchy spot gently. In the case of a serious situation, the application of some anti-itch ointment may be helpful to lessen the symptoms. Nevertheless, one dare not overlook the serious cause when skin itching continues over a long period of time and the effect is not obvious after the use of anti-itch ointment. This hormone level disorder can be caused by cancers of the colon, genital tumors, lung cancer, esophageal cancer, and others, which thereby may produce an all-over-the-body skin itching symptom.
2. Red induration of the skin
One has to be alert to squamous cell carcinoma of the skin when the skin of the scalp, face, back of hands, and other parts of the body exhibits red induration and unclear boundaries to the touch and scabs. As the red induration that shows on the skin progresses further, it can get warty or papillomatous with the scales on the surface, granular ulcers in the middle and be haunted by foul smell and pain. When it is at advanced stages, it is usually accompanied by such symptoms as fever, weight loss and asthenia.
3. Darkening of the skin
If the skin darkens for no apparent reason and the area of darkening is continuously getting larger, particularly when the darkening is near the neck, groin or genitals, the possible occurrence of acanthosis nigricans should be considered. While the condition of acanthosis nigricans is not a cancer, it may be linked to certain malignancies, such as gastric cancer, pancreatic cancer, breast cancer, colorectal cancer, ovarian cancer, etc.
4. Black nevus
Once a sudden and distinct dark mole appears on your skin, if the black color changes and the black mole gradually gets bigger, you should look carefully at the matter, it may be malignant melanoma. Quite often melanoma stealthily turns from seemingly innocent pigmented moles, resembling a time bomb that is hidden under the skin. Treatment has to be done at once, if not, and the tumor will be spreading very fast, which makes it a very dangerous case. The slightest postponement, may thus lead to an irreparable tragedy of life.
5. Yellowing of the skin with subcutaneous bleeding
Usually, yellowing of the skin which is a typical symptom of liver diseases is an abnormal metabolism of the liver’s function. When yellowing of the skin is accompanied with subcutaneous bleeding or subcutaneous bruising as well as spider moles, liver cancer is the one you should be thinking of.
Liver cancer is the case when the liver is affected, its ability to produce coagulation factors is greatly diminished and the liver function is usually severely damaged in liver cancer patients, which in turn causes a disorder in the coagulation mechanism and the occurrence of jaundice, subcutaneous bleeding and spider nevus with higher frequency. In addition to liver cancer, yellowing of the skin can also be caused by pancreatic cancer and cholangiocarcinoma. In our daily routine, we should not be negligent of the changes occurring in our bodies. It may also turn out that – at the most decisive moment – we are able to save our own lives.
