Beauty is naturally a love of female friends, and in this era when thinness is beauty, almost most female friends consider losing weight as a career that they should persist in throughout their lives. Besides, the popularity of various weight loss topics lifting people is on the rise, many weight loss bloggers have started to link weight loss with women’s menstrual cycles. For instance, a lot of bloggers will publish articles like “Losing weight during menstruation will make you lose ten pounds a month” and “You won’t gain weight during your period no matter what you eat” along with a string of comments as titles. Yet, period is a special physiological phenomenon in women Is it really connected to weight loss?

True, there are, but even so, most tweet titles will have exaggerated elements. After all, people cannot become fat in one bite, and therefore, they cannot lose weight in one stroke. Actually, healthy weight loss is mostly a very long process.

Speaking about a woman’s menstrual cycle, there are usually four stages. In these four stages, there are also differences in estrogen levels and changes in the progesterone of women. If estrogen is too high or too low, it’s quite easy to speed up fat accumulation, such as what we often call middle-aged weight gain. One of the main reasons is that the levels of estrogen are too low.

So women can match the estrogen changes with the process of losing weight, and if they manage to hit a golden period, they can probably have a result two times bigger with only half the work. For instance, in the coming 4 female friends are the golden periods of those who desire weight loss should put their maximum effort in.

1. Follicular phase

The follicular period refers to the time from the 7th day to the 14th day after the end of the menstrual period. Estrogen secretion in women at this time is the most vigorous, so it is also called the golden period of weight loss. For women who want to lose weight, Definitely, take this period as a chance.

Each of them can attempt some soothing cardio during this time. Yoga, swimming, playing badminton, etc. Such a period is the one during which human metabolism will be in a better state, and through aerobic exercise, the body can be well consolidated and more firm can be gained.

But while exercising, everyone should also help the employees in terms of working and resting and in general work and rest ensure their regular work and rest, and try to go to bed early and get up early; in terms of diet, they should pay attention to being light and consume more fruits and vegetables rich in dietary fiber. This will help the gastrointestinal tract move and speed up the elimination of water and metabolic waste in the body.

2. Ovulation

The ovulation period is the 14-21 days after the end of a woman’s menstrual period. During this time, women’s physiological functions will be close to normal so women can do some muscle-building training such as cycling or doing squats.

Women should train their muscles while doing weight training. Simultaneously, it is a great support for fatigue that is a consequence of the stressful day’s routine. Thus, while doing housework or other strength-requiring activities, the muscle damage will be at the minimum level which means that the muscle ache and back pain will be reduced to a certain extent. During this time everyone’s diet should consist mainly of protein and fat and the intake of carbohydrates should be reduced to the minimum level.

3. Luteal phase

The luteal phase is the 22-28 days after the end of a woman’s menstrual period. This period is also known as the slow period of weight loss. During this time, it is not easy to find an obvious change in the body when losing weight. Even for some women who have severe premenstrual symptoms, At this stage, there will be a significant increase in weight.

Many women affected by “hormonal changes” during this period will experience rapid changes of mood. So when you find that your weight changes are minimal, you must not give up on yourself. You have to soothe your mood and do something that will help you. For example, yoga and other shaping exercises can not only relax the body and mind but also take good care of your metabolism;

Additionally, talking about diet, you should also avoid high-salt foods as much as possible so as not to exacerbate the swelling of the body. You can eat more apples, celery, papaya and other foods that are good for reducing edema.

4. Physiological period

Women’s metabolism will slow down during the menstrual period, and metabolic waste and water in the body can easily accumulate, and women’s mood will become extremely irritable at the same time. Women could have done some stretching exercises, but they should still not do a lot of these movements to be safe such as running, jumping, and the like; they should not eat more irritating foods, and drink some hot water in moderation.
